Cooking Clutter Kitchen #7: Lizzy and Dan
Lizzy and Dan show us how they bring their family recipes to life.
Lizzy and Dan work in Boston and cook in Duxbury, MA. Lizzy is a nurse with a knack for mixing drinks and Dan’s friends know him as Dan the Pastry-man. Let’s take a look at their kitchen.
Favorite cookbook?
Lizzy: We actually don’t use cookbooks to plan our meals — all our recipes either come from family or from Pinterest!
Does your family have any recipes that have been passed down?
Lizzy: Granny Helen’s chocolate chip cookies and Dan’s mum (GG) has her garlic Parmesan mashed potatoes, yum!
Favorite cooking tool in your kitchen?
Dan: My cast iron skillet!
Lizzy: I don’t have one but Dan’s is definitely his cast iron skillet, it’s up there with his loved ones!
What’s a kitchen tip, hack, or piece of advice that you swear by?
Dan: Let your meat rest. If you do bake and break tollhouse only cook for 9 minutes.
